It has come to my attention that WordPress is blocked in China. So, like my Dali Lama t-shirt and wall-size poster of Tiananmen Square, I must shelve this blog in favor of something more PRC-appropriate.
I can now be found at http://bostonblond.blogspot.com/

until China. Wow. That seems like a lot. Well… maybe considering I spent the last 3-5 days (? I don’t actually know) chilling with friends, volunteering at the animal shelter, sleeping, bowling, making smoothies, having a beer, and kickin’ it in L’s hot tub… And the fact that I was most certain that it was Wednesday instead of Friday…
Maybe it won’t be so long after all.
Things I need to do before China…

In an unfortunate turn of events, my membership to Gold’s Gym expired January 3rd (lame). Renewing for another month cost $75. Being a poor college student, I decided to explore my options.
Option #1:
Forgo the gym.

Ruled out for obvious reasons.
Option #2:

Met up with J and M at George’s yesterday. Had homefries, a country biscut, a side of bacon, and some coffee… possibly the best hangover breakfast in existance. After breakfasting for little over an hour, it began to snow (boo). I hate winter. Storm kept me inside yesterday and the better part of today. Trip to New London to visit C (my roommate)… canceled
Diner trip later. That should liven things up.
Until later…

Bought some shades, mailed some textbooks. $ in the bank. I really should be studying for the GMAT, but I’m currently caught up in Ken Follet’s Pillars of the Earth. It’s much better than the crap (Twilight) my friend’s have me reading. Sorry J. Maybe I will do some laundry today? …and some more reading.
In other news… I heard that this girl I went to high school with is spending the semester in Spain. Am I jealous? Um.. yeah. Siestas, paella, churros, tapas, playas, el sol, tinto de verano… how could you not be jealous? And then I remind myself …”she’s going to Granada, you already went there. Quit your bitching.” Also, I will be in China next semester. Not exactly something to complain about. …the weather will be kind of cold though. And the rain? Ok, maybe I’m still a little bit jealous.

It seems I am about, oh, 7 days late. Which means that new years was 1 week ago, Christmas a week prior, and my birthday a week before that!
21 years and 21 days. Happy Birthday to me
In terms of resolutions, I feel like the following are quite in order:
1. Floss more. I mean, 2x per week isn’t terrible, but they say 1x per day will add two years to your life. Two more ye ars to be a cranky old gran… Excellent.
2. Drink less strawberry champagne. Self explainatory.
3. Get in tune with my.. “feelings.” Already skeptical about this one. Still, feelings seem to be an unavoidable consequence of human existance. (Nice, huh?) I guess this will come with practice, as things often do. (Now here is to hoping I don’t procrastinate feelings like I’m currently procrastinating studying for the GMAT :/ I’m still only a junior…right?)
30 days until China.

1.) This will never get old.
because nothing will ever be funnier than craig’s list
2.) Headed out to CT to meet up with some of my college ladies
Should be a good time, well, minus possibly awkward ex boyfriend interaction.
3.) Note to self…join this:http://20somethings.ning.com/ This blog needs to have more than 1 reader (and by 1, I mean myself).
4.) Also, I hate the word “musings.” So pretentious. I need to never use it again.

Turns out the sale didn’t start until today. Oh well. I went back around noon and proceeded to sift through panties for the next two hours. I made out like a bandit. 10 pairs of underwear for $48. A cute little coin purse brought the total to $51.50.

Great success.

So it’s about that time of the year. Yes, time to go underwear shopping. Normally I don’t like to spend money on this (or anything else), so I will usually shop at someplace cheap. However, twice a year, I fish up change from between my couch cushions and hit up the Victoria’s Secret semi-annual sale. VS…cheaper than Target? Get on that.
